Parallel linear earthwork banks, circa 3 metres wide and aligned broadly cross-contour, are visible on aerial photographs taken from 1947 onwards. The field is depicted as orchard on the late-19th century mapping, and the ridges are interpreted as banks for fruit tree planting, which are likely to be post-medieval or 19th century in date. The ground surface is partly obscured by the tree canopy.
