Two parallel curvilinear cropmark ditches, circa 1.5 metres wide and 5 metres apart, are visible on aerial photographs taken in 1947 immediately south of the crossroads at Post Cross. It is similar in morphology to cropmarks in this area that had formed over removed field boundary ditches, and may be the remains of a medieval boundary, or a trackway flanked by ditches that predated the post-medieval field system. It is not visible on any other available aerial photographs, so interpretation is cautious.
