Summary

A pond is illustrated within Plot 78 on the 1842 Holbeton tithe map and recorded as 'Pond Road' on the accompanying tithe apportionment, to the east of Caulston. By the time of the Second Edition 25 inch Ordnance Survey map of between 1904-06 a reservoir is labelled and illustrated here. The site now lies on the eastern edge of the development at Caulston.
