Summary

A former quarry to the southeast of Lambside Farm is demarcated as a discrete feature on the 1842 Holbeton tithe map and is depicted and labelled as 'Old Quarry' on both the First Edition 25 inch Ordnance Survey map of between the 1880’s-90’s and the Second Edition 25 inch Ordnance Survey map of between 1904-06. The former quarry is also depicted as an earthwork on the Ordnance Survey 2015 Master Map.

The area is also , where it is located in the southeast corner of arable Plot 173, recorded as 'The Piece'. The lane is also shown on the tithe map and recorded as a 'Private Road' (Plot 176). An earthwork feature is also illustrated here on the modern OS vector map

A former quarry to the southeast of Lambside Farm is demarcated as a discrete feature on the 1842 Holbeton tithe map.
