The site is labelled as an 'Old Quarry' on the First and Second Edition 25 inch Ordnance Survey maps, with a square building also shown within the quarry. The quarry is still shown on the Ordnance Survey Master Map, but the building is no longer present indicating that it had been demolished prior to 2015.
