A quarry is illustrated within the north-east corner of plot 30.

A quarry is first shown to the north of Wembury Woods on the Brixton Tithe Map of 1839. The site is also shown on the First and Second Edition 25 inch Ordnance Survey maps (c.1880s and 1904-6) where it is labelled as an 'Old Quarry.' The outline of the quarry is still illustrated on the Ordnance Survey Master Map.
