Plot 318 is recorded as 'Pitts Orchard' and plot 320 is recorded as 'Little Pitts Orchard' within the Brixton Tithe Apportionment.

Plot 318 on the Brixton Tithe Map of 1839 is recorded as 'Pitts Orchard' within the Tithe Apportionment, and plot 320 to the east is recorded as 'Little Pitts Orchard.' Both plots are adjacent to former buildings at Cofflete which are shown on the Brixton Tithe Map. It is possible that the reference to 'Pitts' indicates some earlier quarrying in the area.
