Hegarty, C. + Knight, S. + Sims, R., 2014-2015, East and Mid Devon River Catchments National Mapping Programme Project (Interpretation). SDV356883.

Two curvilinear earthwork ditches, up to circa 10 metres in width, are visible on images derived from lidar data captured in 2010. No field boundaries are depicted in this exact location on the available historic mapping, but the ditch is similar in morphology to other earthworks in the area that correspond to field boundaries depicted on the historic mapping but since removed. The earthworks fit into the field pattern in this area, and one terminates at a dog-leg in the extant field boundary to the south. The ditches are interpreted as the relict remains of removed medieval field boundaries, which appear to have passed out of use prior to the mid-19th century. They are not clearly visible on the available aerial photographs, and earthworks are likely to be slight.
