Parallel linear earthwork banks are indistinctly visible on aerial photographs taken in 1947, although obscured by the tree canopy, but clearly visible on images derived from lidar data captured in 2010. Their alignment is roughly cross-contour and they are interpreted as banks for fruit tree planting, which are likely to be post-medieval or 19th century in date. The fields were depicted as orchard on the late-19th century mapping, although they may have been established at different times; at circa 3 metres, those north of the road are nearly half the width of those south of the road. The earthworks are likely to survive, and some of the trees to the north of the road also appear to be extant.
