A cairn of dry flints to east of a cottage; hutchinson no 22.

Vis=estimated -/-/1995 (ancient monuments) substantial mound, 26m diam, up to 1m high. Some flinty stones up to 20cm in size visible on surface. A central hollow + other interconnected smaller hollows may mark earlier excavations. Does not appear to have had a ditch. Edge of cairn intact, apart from n side, where a segment c.2m wide radially has been removed to create a level area to accommodate caravans and also on se side, where a recently built toilet/shower block impinges slightly on it. The toilet/shower block + all power-point posts are excluded from the scheduling (am).

Vis=4/11/1975(os) robbed cairn, diameter 24m, max height 1m. The greater part of the middle has been dug away: much stone and flint is visible. Harris suggests that the site was covered by a plantation, which was felled in the 1920's (harris). Considered doubtful (fox).

Vis=estimated -/-/1879(hutchinson) the cottage is a lodge by the side of a road leading northwards to combe. The heap has been much disturbed and some stones have been taken, probably for building the cottage.
