No quarry is marked, but a small irregular area of broadleaf woodland is depicted along the edge of a field.

A large probable extraction pit is visible as an irregularly-shaped earthwork, circa 35 by 60 metres across, on aerial photographs taken from 1947 onwards and on images derived from lidar data captured in 2010. No quarry is marked on the available historic mapping, but the pit corresponds to an area depicted as scrubby wooded land on the edge of a field, suggesting that the disuse of the pit pre-dated the mid-19th century. It is likely to be one of numerous former whetstone pits in this area.
