Plot 1091 is recorded as 'Lime Pit Field' within the Tithe Apportionment. Plot 1092 immediately to the south is recorded as 'Quarry.'

An 'Old Gravel Pit' is labelled and illustrated in this location on the First and Second Edition 25 inch Ordnance Survey maps, but is no longer present on the Ordnance Survey Master Map.
