Summary

Three buildings are depicted within Plot 47 on the 1841 Revelstoke tithe map and recorded as 'Pafsage House & Garden' on the accompanying apportionment, on the south bank of the River Yealm, opposite Warren Point. The buildings are also illustrated on both the First Edition 25 inch Ordnance Survey map of between the 1880’s-90’s and the Second Edition 25 inch Ordnance Survey map of between 1904-06. On these maps, the most southerly building is labelled 'Passage House' and a 'Landing Stage' is also labelled and illustrated projecting into the River Yealm. An additional building labelled as 'Ferry Cottage' is also visible to the east. All these nineteenth century buildings appear to be upstanding on the Ordnance Survey 2015 MasterMap.
