On the 1841 Modbury tithe map a lane is illustrated south of Little Orcheton. It runs west from the public road before turning south to link with Great Orcheton. It is depicted within Plots 1908, 1906, 1905 and 1914, all recorded as 'Lane', and within Plot 1903, recorded as 'Great Wheat Park Lane', on the accompanying tithe apportionment.
