Full description

Devon County Council, 1838-1848, Tithe Mosaic, approximately 1838-1848 (Cartographic). SDV349431.

'Petherbridge' shown on 19th century Tithe Map as three or four buildings with several small enclosures. The Apportionment for 'Part of Petherbridge Estate' lists Field Number 656 as '3 Cot Houses, Courtlage & c' and Field Number 652, 655 and 657 as 'Garden'. It seems that this part of 'Petherbridge Estate' was a small hamlet rather than a farmstead at this time.
