Plot 1174 on the Kingsteignton Tithe Map of 1840 is recorded as 'Docks' within the Tithe Apportionment. The field name indicates the presence of a dock within the vicinity. Nothing is shown in this location on the Tithe Map, but the field sits immeditately to the north of the River Teign and it is therefore possible that a dock formerly existed within this location.
