A small rectangular building is illustrated within plot 203 on the West Teignmouth Tithe Map of 1839 is recorded as 'Brookland House' within the Tithe Apportionment. A lawn is also shown within plot 204 to the south. A much larger building is depicted in this location on the later First Edition 25 inch Ordnance Survey map where it is labelled as 'Brookfield House.' The layout of this building respects the alignment of the building shown on the earlier Tithe Map, but it is not possible to determine from the map evidence whether the earlier buildings have been replaced or incorporated into this larger house. The layout of the site on the Second Edition 25 inch Ordnance Survey map remains similar to that show on the First Edition map, but the building is not present on the Ordnance Survey Master Map indicating that it had been demolished and replaced with a housing development prior to 2015.

Ordnance Survey, 2015, MasterMap (Cartographic). SDV357601.

The building is no longer depicted.
