Full description
Devon County Council, 1838-1848, Tithe Mosaic, approximately 1838-1848 (Cartographic). SDV349431.
The boundaries are not depicted on the Sampford Peverell parish tithe map of approximately 1838-48.

The former field boundaries are visible as earthwork banks.

Earthwork banks of possible medieval strip fields are visible on digital images derived from Lidar data captured between 2005 and 2010, to the north of Sampford Peverell. The two parallel north to south aligned earthworks generally respect the historic field patterns of medieval enclosures based on strip fields, although appear to have passed out of use by the time of the parish tithe map of approximately 1838-48. The earthworks were not clearly visible on other aerial photographs or digital images made available to the survey.
