Devon County Council, 1838-1848, Tithe Mosaic, approximately 1838-1848 (Cartographic). SDV349431.

The area of quarrying is partly symbolised on the Sampford Peverell parish tithe map of approximately 1838-48.

The two quarries are depicted and labelled as such on the First Edition Ordnance Survey map of between the 1880’s-90’s.

The two adjacent irregular shaped quarries appear to be partly symbolised on the parish tithe map of approximately 1838-48, although are more fully depicted and labelled as such on the First Edition 25 inch Ordnance Survey map of between the 1880’s-90’s. They are also partly depicted on the Ordnance Survey 2015 MasterMap. The former quarries are located in close proximity to other extensive workings to the northeast.
