Plot 156 on the East Teignmouth Tithe Map of 1839 is recorded as a 'Barn and Yard' within the Tithe Apportionment. The field name indicates the presence of a barn and is likely to relate to a building shown against the eastern boundary of the plot. A building is also shown in this location on the First and Second Edition 25 inch Ordnance Survey maps, and is of a larger size than that shown on the Tithe Map; it is not possible to determine from the map evidence whether the barn has been replaced by, or incorporated into, this larger building. The building is not present on the Ordnance Survey Master Map indicating that it had been demolished prior to 2015.
