Plot 237 on the East Teignmouth Tithe Map of 1839 is recorded as a 'Linhay and Yard' within the Tithe Apportionment. The field name indicates the location of a linhay, and is likely to relate to a building depicted at the western edge of this plot on the Tithe Map. The building is not present on the later First Edition 25 inch Ordnance Survey map indicating that it had been demolished prior to 1899.
