Buildings are shown within plot 130 on the East Teignmouth Tithe Map of 1839, and recorded as 'Grove House and Courtlage' witin the Tithe Apportionment. A garden and walled garden are recorded within plots 131 and 132 to the north, and a lawn within plot 128 to the south. A much larger building is shown in this location on the First Edition 25 inch Ordnance Survey map, where it is labelled as 'The Grove.' The walled garden is no longer depicted and it not possible to determine from the map evidence whether the earlier buildings had been replaced by, or incorporated into, this larger building. The Grove is also labelled and depicted on the Second Edition 25 inch Ordnance Survey map, but is not present on the Ordnance Survey Master Map indicating that it had been demolished and replaced by a housing development prior to 2015.

Ordnance Survey, 2015, MasterMap (Cartographic). SDV357601.

The building is not present.
