A building is shown within plot 168 on the East Teignmouth Tithe Map of 1839, recorded as 'Nursery House' within the Tithe Apportionment. A much larger building is shown in this location on the First and Second Edition 25 inch Ordnance Survey maps and the Ordnance Survey Master Map. It is not possible to determine from the map evidence whether the building depicted on the tithe map had been replaced by, or incoporated into, this larger building, although the buildings are orientated on the same alignment.
