Hegarty, C. + Knight, S. + Sims, R., 2014-2015, East and Mid Devon River Catchments National Mapping Programme Project (Interpretation). SDV356883.

Parallel linear earthwork banks, circa 3.5 metres in width, are indistinctly visible on historic aerial photographs, although obscured by the tree canopy, but clearly visible on images derived from lidar data captured in 2010. This field to the east of Middle St Andrew’s Wood Farm was depicted as orchard on the late-19th century mapping. The alignment of the earthworks is roughly cross-contour and they are interpreted as banks for fruit tree planting, which are likely to be post-medieval or 19th century in date.
