The cropmark does not correspond with any depicted boundary.

A possible former curvilinear field boundary of probable medieval date is visible on aerial photographs as a cropmark to the south of Ravenshayes. The cropmark falls within a pattern of curvilinear field boundaries that remained in situ into the early 20th century and which are probably enclosure based on medieval strip fields. However, it is not depicted on the Tithe Map for Silverton and was probably therefore removed prior to the 1840s.
