On the 1841 Aveton Gifford parish tithe map, a structure is illustrated within Plot 1446 and recorded as 'Watering Place in Tree Field'. The Plot is located alongside a stream, with Plot 1444 to the northwest recorded as 'Linhay Field', which may refer to this structure.
