On the 1842 Thurlestone parish tithe map, two buildings are depicted adjacent to a road and recorded as 'cottages so not charged with tithes' on the accompanying apportionment. The southern of the two buildings appears to be depicted on the First Edition 25 inch Ordnance Survey map of between the 1880’s-90’s, although nothing is visible by the time of the Second Edition 25 inch Ordnance Survey map of between 1904-06.
