On the 1842 Thurlestone parish tithe map and apportionment, to the southeast of Stiddicombe Wood, Plots 163 and 113 are recorded as 'Wall Park'. Plot 164 to the north is also recorded as 'Wall Park Waste'. Presumably a field boundary wall of some size and age was located hereabouts, although nothing is depicted on historical maps.
