A cropmark of a roughly oval or sub-rectangular pit to the south of Up Exe Mill might be evidence of a former quarry pit of post-medieval date. The crompark is up to 26 metres by 10 metres in size and appears to respect the line of a former curvilinear field boundary of probable medieval origin.
