Buildings are depicted within plot 166 on the East Portlemouth Tithe Map of 1840 and recorded as 'House and Garden' within the Tithe Apportionment.

A row of buildings are also depicted in this location on the First and Second Edition 25 inch Ordnance Survey maps where they are labelled as 'Newhouse'. A 'Smithy' is also labelled on these maps at the southern extent of the buildings. These buildings are extant on the Ordnance Survey 2015 MasterMap, although it is unclear if these represent the buildings first depicted on the tithe map.
