Buildings are depicted within plot 395 on the Dittisham Tithe Map of 1840, recorded as a 'Farm House and Courtlage' within the Tithe Apportionment. Buildings of a similar layout are depicted in this location on the First and Second Edition 25 inch Ordnance Survey map where they are labelled as 'Lower Kilngate.' There have been some changes to the size and layout of the buildings depicted on the later Ordnance Survey Master Map, and the range of buildings to the south-east are no longer present indicating that they had been demolished prior to 2015. It is not possible to determine from the map evidence alone whether the buildings depicted on the Ordnance Survey Master Map have replaced, or are an extension to, the buildings depicted on the earlier Tithe and Ordnance Survey maps.

Ordnance Survey, 2015, MasterMap (Cartographic). SDV357601.

Buildings of a slightly different layout are depicted. The range of buildings to the south-east are no longer present. Map object based on this source.
