It is also called 'Well Park' on an estate map of 1813 titled 'A Map of the Manors of Batson and Shabbacombe in the Parish of Gerston and other lands in West Alvington'. However, there is no well illustrated here on the 19th century maps, or on susequent historic maps, although it is likely one was once located hereabouts.
