Full description
Pears, B. + de-Villiers, S. + Passmore, A., 2014, The Former Fremington Army Camp, Fremington, Devon: Results of an Archaeological Trench Evaluation and Historic Building Survey, Building 41 (Report - non-specific). SDV357013.
Accommodation building. Concrete-rendered. Gabled roof with corrugated asbestos sheeting. Metal and UPVC windows with tile sills. 13 bays. A single wooden door in the 2nd from south bay in the north-east elevation. There is a small rectangular extension with a single vented wooden door in the north end of the south-west elevation. Wooden double doors in centre of north-west elevation.
No internal access; visual inspection through windows. There is a single room at the south-east end with a corridor running the length of the building with various rooms off it. Some of these contain fireplaces and may once have contained sinks. Plasterboard ceilings.
