Full description
Pears, B. + de-Villiers, S. + Passmore, A., 2014, The Former Fremington Army Camp, Fremington, Devon: Results of an Archaeological Trench Evaluation and Historic Building Survey, Building 71 (Report - non-specific). SDV357013.
Recreation building. Clay block units and brick with gabled roof under corrugated asbestos sheeting. Metal windows. Five bays. Porches on the north and west elevations with sloping corrugated asbestos sheet roofs and single wooden doors. That on the north leads to a plant room. That on the west is partly formed of corrugated asbestos sheeting. There are two single wooden doors in the south elevation. The rectangular extension on the south end of the east elevation, with single wooden door in its south elevation, contains a toilet.
No internal access; visual inspection through windows. Consists of a single room with a counter and partition wall separating the south end. Foam ceiling tiles.
