Full description
Pears, B. + de-Villiers, S. + Passmore, A., 2014, The Former Fremington Army Camp, Fremington, Devon: Results of an Archaeological Trench Evaluation and Historic Building Survey, Building 82 (Report - non-specific). SDV357013.
Clay block and brick building with gabled, corrugated asbestos sheet roof. Metal windows. Three bays. There are porches with single wooden doors and sloping corrugated asbestos sheet roofs in the north-west and south-west elevations. The north-east elevation is concrete-rendered.
It is divided into cubicles retaining original sanitary fittings and doors, as well as washing areas, with remains of wooden benches and a clothes drying room. The sinks have been removed.
