Full description

Devon County Council, 1838-1848, Tithe Mosaic, approximately 1838-1848 (Cartographic). SDV349431.

'Woosten' shown on 19th century Tithe Map as a group of detached buildings along a lane to the east of the road with several small enclosures and yards. The Apportionment for 'Higher Wooston' lists Field Numbers 184 and 185 to the west as 'Orchard'. The Apportionment for 'Lower Wooston' lists Field Number 187 as 'Green Houses Lane and Waste', Field Number 188 as 'Garden' and Field Number 201 as 'Little Plat Orchard'.
