Full description

Hughes, B. D., 2011, The Tidal Mills of the Taw & Torridge Estuary, 36 (Article in Serial). SDV352276.

The former south west arm of Fremington Creek has been embanked for many years, and now consists of marsh and grassland where the stream flowing down through Fremington village empies into the tidal creek. This enclosed area would have made an ideal tide mill pond, and a reference in the lease of Fremington watermill of 1760 refers to a Salt Mill and Brayley's Mills.
