Pitifield Chapple, W. E., 1908 - 1909, 'And so those of Axminster (sic) enjoy their bells', 143-4 (Article in Serial). SDV131327.

Parish church, Axminster. There is a peal of eight bells at Axminster. The oldest was cast by William Purdue in 1647.
