Full description
Morris, B., 2015, Broadhembury Wolverstone Cross, Results of a Rapid Walkover (Report - Survey). SDV358299.
Very subtle undulations in the surface were observed during a walkover survey in a field under short-cropped grass. It appeared as if earthworks had been present but were levelled at some point in the past. The field boundary at this point (also a parish boundary) was very substantial (3m across and 2m high) and may have been built up with material from the levelled earthworks. The earthworks are likely to be associated with iron extraction.
