Watermouth Castle is a big castellated mansion with a splendid wide view over the Bristol Channel. Little remains of the grounds, but further up the valley, at the entrance to the remnants of the sub-tropical gardens, there is an arch consisting of elaborately decorated stonework panels from the porch of Umberleigh House, Atherington.
