A possible former field boundary of probable post-medieval date is visible as an earthwork bank to the north of Strete Ralegh, Whimple on digital images derived from lidar data captured in 2005.
The bank is up to circa 6 metres wide and is visible extending on a north-east to south-west orientation for circa 105 metres. The bank does not correspond with any boundary depicted on the Tithe Map for Whimple or the Ordnance Survey 25 inch first edition map, which might support the interpretation it passed out of use prior to the mid-19th century. It might have been removed as part of landscaping associated with the construction of Strete Ralegh House to the south-east. The possible former boundary probably survives as an earthwork bank.
