Orchard banks of probable post-medieval to modern date are visible as a series of linear earthwork banks on aerial photographs of 1946 onwards, to the southeast of Bridge Pitt Farm. An orchard is depicted here on the First Edition Ordnance Survey map of between the 1880’s-90’s, although by 1946 aerial photographs show that the orchard trees have been completely grubbed up, leaving a series of parallel north to south aligned earthwork banks, on which the fruit trees were established, visible. These banks occupy a small irregular shaped plot of approximately 0.11 hectares of gentle north facing slope. The orchard banks are visible on aerial photographs of 1989, although are not visible by 1996 and may have been completely levelled following removal of adjacent field boundaries to the south and east.
