Orchard banks of probable post-medieval to modern date are visible as a series of linear earthwork banks on aerial photographs of 1946 onwards, to the south of Venmore Farm. The site of the orchard is recorded as Splatt Barrs Orchard on the Woodbury parish tithe apportionment of approximately 1838-48, although appears to have been completely grubbed up by the time of the First Edition Ordnance Survey map of between the 1880’s-90’s. Aerial photographs of 1946 show a series of linear north to south aligned earthwork banks which occupy a single rectilinear shaped plot of northwest facing slope. The orchard banks are visible on aerial photographs of 1969, although appear to have been completely levelled by 1989.
