Cropmark ditches of between medieval to modern date are visible on aerial photographs of 1989 and 2010, at Woodbury Mills. The nature of the linear northwest to southeast aligned cropmarks is largely unclear. They could represent the remains of a relict medieval field system, or perhaps more likely represent more recent drainage ditches, possibly associated with the orchard which was once established here. The cropmarks were not visible on other aerial photographs made available to the survey.
