The pit is not depicted.

A roughly circular earthwork pit was visible.

A shallow earthwork pit, probably the remains of a former quarry or Marl Pit of medieval to post-medieval date, was visible on digital images derived from lidar data to the south of Saundercroft Farm, Broadclyst.
The pit is roughly circular and measures up to circa 26 metres in diameter. The pit is not depicted on the Ordnance Survey first edition 25inch map and might therefore have passed out of use prior to the 1880s.
