A possible ring ditch is visible.

A possible ring ditch of unknown date was visible as a cropmark on aerial photographs of 1999 on the north-facing slopes of a spur west of Lower Burroton, Broadclyst.
The cropmark is circa 3.5 metres wide and encloses an area approximately 18 metres in diameter. The south-western half of the possible ring-ditch was not visible, due probably to the effects of a roughly north-north-west to south-south-east band of different geology or soil depth on cropmark formation that runs across the field.
The date and function of the possible ring-ditch are unknown and further investigation by non-invasive techniques, such as geophysical survey, is recommended to ascertain the nature and extent of the feature.
