Summary
Three linear cropmarks defining a possible enclosure visible on aerial photograph. Two of these appear to correspond with undated ditches located by geophysical survey and subsequent excavation. These ditches cannot be attributed to the early historical field pattern and may, therefore, be early features.

Anomalies recorded in Areas 8a and 8b may be associated with cropmarks identified as heritage site No. 35.

Site 35. Three linear cropmarks defining a possible enclosure visible on National Monuments Record aerial photograph (No. 13549). The site has not been investigated archaeologically but could potentially be a Roman rural site. Nothing visible in the field. Heritage site of uncertain significance. Potential for currently unrecorded archaeology high.

Site OTA 4.01. Two undated ditches (4.01.006 and 4.01.004) were excavated across the northern and southern parts of the site respectively. They appear to correspond with features identified on the geophysical plot. Also located in the north-east of the site was another east-west orientated ditch (4.01.005) which corresponds with a field boundary shown on the 1845 Tithe Map.

Site 6. Salston B. The two undated ditches cannot be attributed to the early historical field pattern and may have been early features. Ditch 4.01.004 was between 0.8 and 1.7 metres wide and 0.25 to 0.45 metres deep with moderately sloping sides and a concave base. Ditch 4.01.006 was between 0.45 and 0.9 metres wide and 0.2 and 0.32 metres deep.
