The extraction pit is visible as an earthwork pit.

A probable extraction pit of post-medieval to modern date is visible as an earthwork pit on aerial photographs of 1969, to the southeast of Shepherds Park Farm. The oval shaped earthwork measures approximately 21m in length by 14.5m in width. It was not clearly visible on aerial photographs before or after 1969 and may have since been completely levelled.
