An extraction pit of probable post-medieval to modern date is visible as an earthwork pit on aerial photographs of 1946 onwards, within Woodbury Wood. The earthwork is circular in shape, measures approximately 32m in diameter and lies within an area where a number of similar such features have been recorded. The former possible clay or gravel pit remains visible as an earthwork pit on Lidar-derived images of 2005.
