A number of gravel pits are recorded within the immediate vicinity.

The possible gravel pit is visible as an earthwork pit.

A possible gravel pit of post-medieval to modern date is visible as an earthwork pit on aerial photographs of 1946 onwards, to the north of Rushmoor Wood. The oval-shaped earthwork measures approximately 17m in length by 14m in width and is located within the immediate vicinity of a number of gravel pits depicted on the First Edition Ordnance Survey map of between the 1880’s-90’s. The earthwork pit remains visible on digital images derived from aerial photographs taken in 2010.
